Law enforcement personnel go through the triumphs and tragedies of life just like everyone else, but sometimes we forget to ask for help, to reach out and to accept the help that is offered. We are family - we bleed blue - we must take care of one another!

Mike Carleton retired from Tempe PD in 2020 as a sergeant after 21 years of service. During his tenure he was a member of both the Crisis Negotiations Team and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)/Peer Support Team for 19 years. Mike has a passion for assisting fellow first responders experiencing the effects of a critical incident or the cumulative stress that takes its toll on our minds, bodies and families. Mike is available for contact through his cell phone, to speak with as a confidential Peer Resource if your agency does not have a Peer Support team or you would prefer to speak to a peer outside of your agency's team.
Mike's company, Emergency Responder Crisis Solutions (ERCS), has partnerships with several resources around the state to provide first responders and/or their family members with highly qualified and vetted services often at no cost to you. These services are paid for through grants and allows you to seek resources without having to notify your agency.
